Keeping Everyone Safe
Massage Therapy requires close contact. Please see below for our additional safety measures.
- All staff at Bull City Massage Therapy are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and have voluntarily chosen to share this information.
- We use digital forms to decrease potential transmission. There are a total of three forms to complete before your appointment and should take less than five minutes. You will receive a link to the forms via email/text from our system when you book online or a few days before your scheduled appointment.
- To ensure safety and well-being, management has been proactive about increased cleaning and sanitation throughout the building and hand sanitizer is provided at the main entrance.
- We follow current Durham, NC mask protocol. Wearing of masks is optional for clients and optional for therapists.
- Clients may request that their therapist wears a mask during the session.
- The massage table is covered with a vinyl barrier sheet and silicone face rest cover that can be fully sanitized between sessions. An additional flannel sheet covering is added to the table for your comfort.
- Hand sanitizer is available.
- We added a True HEPA filtration system which exchanges the room air 5 times per hour. (though there is some conflicting science here on average virus size vs. HEPA effectiveness, most agree that combined with other safety efforts, this is worth the add in a small, enclosed space)
Safe practice standards we have always maintained and will continue to
- Massage Therapists completely wash hands, forearms and elbows before and after every client.
- Sheets are changed between every client. Linens are laundered daily with hot water and disinfectant on a sanitize setting then dried on the hottest setting.
- The face rest and attachment is wiped and sanitized between clients when the table covering is changed.
- Tools are washed with hot soapy water and then sanitized immediately after each use.
- The office/room is cleaned every day.
